THE STORY
Dr. Richard Glass is stuck in the past.
Literally.
A few months earlier, the love of his life died in a fire, leaving him broken and desperate for a change. He accepts a job at Odessa, a powerful defense contractor, where he soon invents a device that can send operatives spinning back in time.
This groundbreaking invention, however, is not your typical HG Wells time machine. Instead, the device works to start the whole world ticking, in real time, in reverse.
Suddenly, leaves are re-attaching to trees, snow is rising to the heavens, and everyone, second by second, is getting younger.
Except for Richard — who, along with a few other scientists on his team, are the only ones in this backwards world who aren't moving in reverse.
As his fellow scientists struggle to discover a way to right the timeline and return home without destroying the future, Richard knows they are driving inexorably toward that terrible day when he lost his wife — and perhaps a chance to save her once and for all.
Combining iconic, Matrix-like imagery to create a vivid, haunting backwards world, Unwound is the story of loss, love, and second chances. Unwound is what happens when you’re willing to sacrifice everything—perhaps the entire timeline—for that one person you love.
