THE STORY
Three weeks ago, Jacob's brother, Samuel, entered Japan’s famed Suicide Forest and disappeared.
Though authorities presumed he killed himself just like the countless others who have gone before him, his brother, Jacob, remained skeptical.
Weeks later, the mutilated body of one of Samuel's friends is found at the forest's edge, giving Jacob the first insight into where exactly, his brother may have disappeared.
Armed with the hope that Sam might still be alive, Jacob and Akiko, Sam’s Japanese girlfriend, head into this impenetrable secret world to extract him.
But the nightmare that is awaiting the two hikers dwarfs any danger they anticipated; an unspoken terror — a power beyond human imagination — that can forever alter the world beyond the dark, lethal confines of the Suicide Forest.
