THE STORY
Set at the front lines of the culture wars, American Flesh is a searing, multi-narrative account of love and violence, ideology and subversion.
Desperate to launch his career in New York’s competitive art scene, sculptor Peter Parfeud hires a savvy, young publicist, Kate Landers, to help him market himself as a true artist.
Together they create American Flesh, a controversial installation laden with human body parts and religious iconography.
The show’s news-making premiere not only succeeds in attracting the attention of New York’s art elite, but also brings forth a legion of protesters.
Austin Perry, a teen involved in an ex-gay ministry, is among them. He sets into motion a plan to stop Peter and and save the world from the artist’s disgusting creations.
